E Sreedharan to be given charge of Kochi metro: CM

Kochi: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has said that E Sreedharan will be given the charge of Kochi metro. CM was replying to queries by media persons as who will be the chairman of the project. CM said the final decision will be taken by the central government and it is the centre which select's the chairman too. There are no disputes and issues over this. He said the service of Sreedharan is needed for the timely completion of the project. E Sreedharan earlier reiterated his stand that he will take up the charge only if DMRC is given the full charge of the project.
